Billy Yates, a Nashville-based, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter from Doniphan, Missouri, is celebrated for co-writing George Jones’ classics “Choices” and “I Don’t Need Your Rockin’ Chair”. Known for his authentic, traditional country voice and storytelling, Yates has released numerous albums—initially on major labels and later independently via his M.O.D. (My Own Damn) label—and has charted singles such as “Flowers.” A revered performer, he has made over 50 appearances at the Grand Ole Opry, tours extensively in Europe, and continues to honor the genre’s roots with every song he writes and performs.
