Christopher Wyze & The Tellers are a blues-rooted Americana group led by frontman and songwriter Christopher Wyze, joined by Ralph Carter, Gerry Murphy, John Boyle, Douglas Banks, and Mark Yacovone. After two decades fronting a covers band, Wyze stepped into his own as a songwriter with the band’s 2024 debut Stuck in the Mud, a 13-track album recorded in Muscle Shoals and Clarksdale that blends Southern blues, Americana, and country with vivid, narrative-driven songs. The record earned a place on the Roots Music Report Top 200 Blues Albums and produced a #1 single, “Back to Clarksdale,” while Wyze was named a “One to Watch” by the Nashville Songwriters Association International. In 2025, they followed up with Live in Clarksdale, a CD/DVD set featuring electrifying performances and a documentary tour of the Delta. Together, Christopher Wyze & The Tellers deliver music steeped in history, heart, and authentic storytelling.
