McBride & The Ride
McBride & the Ride is a Nashville-based country trio—comprising Terry McBride (lead vocals, bass), Ray Herndon (guitar, harmony), and Billy Thomas (drums, harmony)—formed in 1989 under the guidance of producer Tony Brown. Their early 1990s albums—including Burnin’ Up the Road, Sacred Ground, and Hurry Sundown—yielded mainstream hits such as “Sacred Ground,” “Going Out of My Mind,” “Just One Night,” and “Love on the Loose, Heart on the Run,” with Sacred Ground going gold. After various lineup changes and hiatuses, the original members reunited in 2021 and have continued touring and releasing music, including fresh singles like “Marlboros & Avon” and Along Comes a Girl. Their signature tight three-part harmonies, honky-tonk energy, and lasting songwriting legacy have made them a beloved fixture in country music history.
